As I enter the field of student affairs, my professional interests center on working with student leaders and continuing to build on my experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion. To guide my growth as a student affairs professional, I have focused on eight key Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Educators as outlined by ACPA and NASPA. For each competency, I have established short-term and long-term goals that will allow me to build practical skills, gain experience, and make meaningful contributions to students, staff, and the broader campus community.
